Each week it gets harder and harder to think of things that will interest you of what i do here. Have i told you about the other family we have? well its guy and a woman and their children and they have been together for quite a long time and as of right now we are working on getting them married and they are up for it now we just need to take care of the papers and things like that. I am just hoping that the wedding will be before i leave this area. but as of right now im not sure of the likelihood of that. It would be my comps first wedding too and he has been out for almost 2 years. Anyways the man usually works quite a bit but right now he has one month of holidays and he does a ton of fishing with his children and he is pretty much one of the nicest guys ive ever met in my life. he has given us fish multiple times to take home and make and its really good. this last time we went though he had caught a squid and he gave us some to eat. i was pretty excited about it. we actually had divisions ealrier this week and he offered eel but i wasnt there to accept it. i was pretty sad about that. But he always makes it to church when he doesnt have work but his work is starting back up soon so another thing we are working on is getting his day off switched to sunday.Ill keep you updated on that familys progress better. Most of our other families recently have been getting weaker with things pertaining to the church so its pretty sad but we will keep trying to work with them.
Another person that we havent worked with since elder zuniga left showed up to church yesterday with her boyfriend and they say they are ready to be married because he got his papers from his country of birth so we will start working with them again. last time it was very hard to find her and we never found the guy so i hope it will be different this time around.
My portuguese is decent enough now that i have started trying to learn the criole more than before. its pretty fun trying to speak it. its actually a pretty simple language and very straightforward. But its still trying to learn three languages at the same time because there is two major different crioles and on this islan people seem to speak both because a lot of people come to this island to work from different islands. i think i like the criole from the northern islands more. its called sau pajew. not really spelled like that. but thats okay. i like it more than the southern island criole called bado. also spelled wrong. but as far as music i have learned that i like brazilian music the most usually. but i hear a ton of different music on the streets. cabo verde has a couple of main kinds and then portugal music and music from mozambique and also angola and also brazil. so there is quite a bit of different kinds here.well i think thats about it as far as things from this week. Love you all!
